Wacker Neuson Excavators - Made in Austria, Quality you can rely on

Covering an area of 17 hectares, the Wacker Neuson Linz Factory in Austria is one of the largest and most modern production sites of compact equipment in the world. Wacker Neuson invested 65 Million Euro (103.8 Million AUD) into the new site in 2012, and is solely manufacturing from Linz; excavators up to 14 tonnes and wheel and crawler-mounted dumpers.

The Linz factory has a capacity to turn out 15000 machines a year, but it is quality as much as quantity that counts. Every machine is subjected to several quality checks before it receives approval. There are 6 assembly lines at Linz, Four of these lines are for excavators and two for wheel dumpers.

There are two enclosed testing chambers at the end of each line. The first chamber is where hydraulic oils and lubricants are injected, and the machine is tested for basic functions and the machine is allowed to cool for 3-5 hours. In the second chamber the machines are heated up again and checked with ultraviolet light scanners, as a colouring agent was applied in the hydraulic oil prior. A full half-hour functionality test with weights, is then carried out on each and every machine.

There is a dedicated in house testing ground on the premises, as well as a fully equipped powder coating and sandblasting paint shop. There are more than 600 employees at Linz, with an in-house apprentice workshop, and a service workshop for training purposes.

No expense has been spared at the Linz Factory. You can be rest assured that your Wacker Neuson excavator is engineered and manufactured to top European standards.
